ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

It is the maintenance, repair, programming and production of machines which are automatic production in industry, training and teaching area to gain the competencies of performing hardware and software operations for the measurement, monitoring and inspection of production by using the network structures of automation systems.


Industrial automation; is widely used in all areas of robot technology. Nowadays, technology has been a necessity or even a necessity. It consists Product design, system dynamics and intelligent control, monitoring of production processes, modeling and control, force electronics, microsystem design and applications, industrial control design, sensors and robot systems, image processing, inter-system communication networks, artificial intelligence and virtual reality. Because of this, the defense industry is one of the most important professional branches for the automotive and textile sectors.

Goal:

After the 1980s, there have been radical changes in the design and production of industrial products. With the advancement of technology in developing and changing world markets, significant changes have occurred in the quality and function of industrial products. Rapidly developing technology and ever-changing market conditions demand more economical and quality products; customer expectations are more flexible and developed in the direction of multifunctional products. As a result of customers' rapidly changing demands and intense market competition, product life span has been shortened. Under such challenging conditions, the usual design and manufacturing technologies remained inadequate, and new concepts and methods were introduced to address this need.The concept of industrial automation has influenced especially the design philosophy and engineering education and has caused significant changes in industrial technology production and engineering education.
